Workshop with Mayka Sabova & Antonia Michalakakou
Focusing on the sound element in Yoga, this workshop is an opportunity to experience multiple benefits of Nada Yoga on the body and mind.
By encouraging inner focus and concentration through implemention of sound, voice and mantras into Yoga practice, we will learn to enhance relaxation and meditativeness for inner balance and well-being!
Suitable for all Yoga practitioners and curious minds, one will explore the basics of the ancient methods to deepen Yoga practice. The workshop will conclude with Sound Healing, a profound relaxation with crystal and Tibetan bowls, adding a unique value to this journey of cultivating lasting harmony and peacefulness within.
Workshop Program
16:00 – 16:15 Welcome
16:15 – 16:45 Mantra Singing & Sound Meditation (accompanied with harmonium) - Bringing the awareness to present moment, opening the voice, cultivating introspection and experiencing meditative effects of mantras. Simple sounds and mantras will be practised, no singing skills are required. Hand-outs will be provided.
16:45 – 17:45 Hatha Yoga Practice - Yoga asana and pranayama sequence for all levels, including Sun Salutations with Surya mantras, to remove physical tensions and improve stillness through body-mind awareness
17:45 – 18:00 Break in silence
18:00 – 19:00 Sound Healing Journey - The sonic sounds of crystal and Tibetan bowls together with gentle voice create subtle vibrations in the body & mind, bringing one into a deep state of relaxation. Supporting the release of physical and emotional tensions or energy blockages, the experience enhances inner balance, while offering a safe space for creating spiritual awareness.

Being a Yoga practitioner is not a requirement for this workshop. Everybody is welcome to either discover a different approach to Yoga and relaxation or to refine their own practice.
The sessions are complementing one another. For a wholesome experience, it is recommended to attend all.

No deposit is required, however, for arranging hand-outs and space, the exact number of attendees is important. Inform us ahead in case of a cancellation.
Yoga mats, blankets and pillows are available in the studio, bring anything else that makes you more comfortable.
Simple refreshment will be offered during the break, feel free to bring your own snack.

Mayka Sabova - The Essence of Well-Being
Having developed an immense passion for Yoga practice and philosophy throughout eight years on the Yoga path, Mayka has acquired 500 hours of Hatha Yoga training in Cyprus and India, while being fortunate enough to have received knowledge from many inspiring Yoga and spiritual teachers. Continuously refining her practice and honouring the tradition, she trusts that Yoga can find a place in everybody's life as a complete path towards well-being and understanding one's own extraordinary existence. During the sessions, she shares her own practice and combines various elements into a universal Yoga experience, fusing mindful asana practice, breathing methods, relaxation, meditation and mantra chanting. Inspired by a recent trip to India and learning to play harmonium, she implements sound and Bhakti (devotional) aspects to the practice.
Antonia Michalakakou - Euphonia Music Therapy
Antonia utilizes music as a medium to release the stress and anxiety of the daily lives and assist the others in discovering deep relaxation on the way towards a healthier and more peaceful life. She is educated in Music Therapy as a creative form of psychotherapy that involves receptive and interactive music making towards building a therapeutic relationship in order to understand and express feelings and emotions, interact and communicate. The aim is to release stress, anxiety or any tension trapped in the body and mind to enhance balance and reconnect with the own self. Antonia offers music therapy and sound healing sessions in Limassol.
