Course Outcome Details
- Provide students with the skills to be a creative confident teacher, some may call this connecting with the inner guru, inner guide.
- Part of the morning sessions during the course will be based on yoga practices performed in India in ashram style setting. This will help develop the connection to the inner “guru” guide.
- The skills you will get will enable you to have the confidence and knowledge to go beyond what you can learn from text books, we ask you to question everything.
- Part of the course will focus on the student’s self-development, the course is not only about gaining a “good” training certificate but also about how one can grow and transform, so that one can become a yoga “teacher” and not a yoga “instructor”.

Certification & Assessments
The students are continuously assessed throughout the course at all levels. There will be a practical observation session towards the end of the course to evaluate the understanding and skills of the students. Upon completion of the course students will receive a fully recognised certificate from the IYN Independent Yoga Network.
Please note that the course will not be registered with Yoga Alliance. For those of you who are unaware, Yoga Alliance is not a governing body. They are an association that offers a registry. There is no accountability and the minimum standards are not enough for the Vedanta Team to align with. Peter & Chris are passionate about educating teachers and students to investigate the relevance of YA in current times. Let’s go above and beyond the minimum and train for excellence.
Who can Participate?
We welcome anyone who earnestly wants to learn about yoga, an existing yoga practice is not essential. We expect you to have a willingness to respect and recognize the power of yoga to transform your outlook on life and its ability to steady the mind and body. Above all, we ask you to trust yourself and open your heart and mind to the opportunities that are presented to you.
