A talk by senior monks of the Ananda Marga school on the nature and practice of the ancient science of Tantra.
Tantra Yoga was systematized in India more than 7000 years ago. Tan is a Sanskrit root which signifies “expansion”, and tra signifies “liberation.” Hence Tantra is that practice which elevates human beings in a process of all round expansion.
By means of meditation techniques and yoga practices Tantra seeks to orient the practitioner towards increasing levels of self-refinement and realization. Ananda Marga believes that the implications of such a process can lead the individual and human society from bondage to liberation.
