The best time to start prenatal yoga is at the start of your second trimester. Your energy will be returning and this is the perfect time to start yoga. Practising yoga during pregnancy can help reduce stress and anxiety by cultivating a sense of mindfulness and inner peace. The physical practice is focused on increasing the strength, flexibility and endurance of muscles needed for childbirth as well as decrease lower back pain, nausea, headaches and shortness of breath.
By practising yoga throughout your pregnancy, you will also gain the best possible tools for breathing through the intensity of the various stages of labour. We have everything ready for you at the centre, including bolsters, blankets and mats, all you need to do is show up.
