Learning to Stand

Open and strong hips are the foundation for many standing postures and arm balances. In this workshop we will focus on basic to intermediate postures to align, open and free the hips.
We will spend some time learning the correct alignment of the hips within our yoga practice before moving through asanas which focus on this area, empowering you with the knowledge to transform your practice
This session will include lots of demonstrations and some partner assists to deepen your understanding.

Emma took her first yoga class in 1999 and hasn’t looked back since. In the last 17 years she’s studied a broad range of styles and teachers. She has 4 yoga teacher training qualifications and is passionate about setting a good foundation for a life of yoga through healthy alignment.
She offers a range of yoga classes from her studio The Centre in Nicosia varying in style and level, suitable for a range of fitness levels.
Her positive approach and cheerful nature helps students feel grounded and confident in their practice whilst increasing their body awareness and sense of ease within their minds and bodies.
